This drawing robot explored the interaction between humans and programmed robot movements.
There were two different phases in this project’s process. The first phase explores the moment the robot can be seen as a creature. As the robots surrounding us, such as cleaning robots, often seem like animals, this robotic arm has some moments that I could feel like with animals, for example, when I hold the robotic arm’s hand, I felt like the robot and I had a dialogue. The second phase of this exploration is about drawing. Rewriting the programming code enables me to adjust the drawing line. I realised this could be an “Expanded drawing”: the drawing class I attended during the semester.
